How to Copy an Activity
Do you offer activities that repeat each semester or run the same activity for different age groups? AfterSchool HQ makes it easy to copy an existing activity and update the details to fit your new version.
This article walks you through the steps to copy an activity so you can save time and stay organized.

00:05: This article explains how to copy an activity within the after-school. HQ platform. You will learn the steps to duplicate an existing activity. Efficiently to save time and maintain consistency.
00:17: This is how you can copy an activity. You need to go to activity center and then extracurricular activities after that, locate the activity that you want to copy. You will see that. You have three dots on the right side.
00:30: Click here to open the options, menu for the selected activity, allowing you to manage its settings.
00:37: Click on those three dots and then click copy, then select the activity name and you can copy the schedule to the new activity if you want to.
00:46: Then click create a copy. Now, continue adding the details of the new activity. If you don't want to make changes you just need to click save and next into each section.
00:55: At the end, you just need to publish the activity.
00:58: You have successfully copied an activity by accessing the Activity Center, navigating to Extracurricular Activities, selecting the desired activity, creating a copy, and publishing it. For more information, see the related articles on managing extracurricular activities.
Step-by-Step: Copy an Activity
Step 1: Open the Activity Center
From your Home page, click Activity Center in the left-hand sidebar.

Step 2: Select Extracurricular Activities
Click Extracurricular Activities to view a list of all your existing activities.

Step 3: Choose an Activity to Copy
Locate the activity you’d like to duplicate, click the three-dot menu on the right side of the activity, and select Copy.


Step 4: Configure the Copy
In the Copy Activity pop-up window:

Enter a new Activity Name.

Choose whether you’d like to copy the schedule to the new activity.

Selecting this option will automatically copy the days, times, and schedule details from the original activity into the newly created one.

Step 5: Create the Copy
Click Create Copy to generate the new activity.

Step 6: Update the New Activity
You’ll be redirected to the Activity Setup page. From here, you can update any settings—such as dates, grades, capacity, or instructors—to ensure the activity matches your new needs.
