In this guide, we’ll walk you step-by-step through how to use the **Checked Out By** field when checking students out. This helps you clearly track **who picked up each student**, whether it was a parent, an authorized person, or a staff member.   **Step-by-Step: How to Use the “Checked Out By” Field** 1. Log in to your AfterSchool HQ account. 2. Check students in.  5\. Add check out time then find the **Checked Out By** field. You will see the following options: - **Parent / Guardian / Participant** (Automatically pulled from the student’s household) - **Authorized Personnel** (Automatically pulled from the student’s authorized pickup list) - **Staff** (Manually selectable if staff is doing sign out) 6\.
