For parents or staff who didn’t receive their PIN text message and want to fix it.
We’re so glad you’re here! In this guide, we’ll walk you step-by-step through how to troubleshoot when your PIN text doesn’t arrive. You’ll learn where the text might be, how to fix your settings, and when to contact support.
What to Expect First
-
The PIN text usually comes from 317-644-4332.
-
Sometimes it may come from 833-912-4018 (when texting limits are hit).
-
If your phone gets a text from either number, it’s from AfterSchool HQ.
Step 1: Check for Spam or Blocked Messages
On iPhone
-
Open the Messages app.
-
Tap Filters (top-left).
-
Tap Spam, Unknown & Spam, or Unknown Senders.
-
Look for texts from 317-644-4332 or 833-912-4018.
To turn on the spam filter:
-
Go to Settings > Messages.
-
Turn on Filter Unknown Senders.
⚠️ Note: If you turn this on, you won’t get notifications for filtered texts.
On Samsung / Android
-
Open Messages.
-
Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right.
-
Tap Spam & block.
-
Look for texts from 317-644-4332 or 833-912-4018.
-
If you find a valid message in spam, mark it Not Spam.
To prevent future filtering:
-
Go to Settings in your Messages app.
-
Turn on spam protection (or similar setting, depending on your phone).
Step 2: If You Still Don’t See the Text
-
Make sure your phone number is correct in AfterSchool HQ.
-
Restart your phone.
-
Check again in your Spam, Unknown, or Blocked messages folder.
If you still don’t get it, it’s time to contact support.
Step 3: Contact Support
When you email support@afterschoolhq.com, please include:
-
Your phone number and email tied to your AHQ account
-
Your mobile carrier (e.g. T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc.)
-
The PIN you were trying to set
Important Note:
-
Many cases of missing PIN texts are with T-Mobile and MetroPCS users.
-
Less commonly, AT&T or Verizon users may also have issues.
-
As a last option, our team can generate a PIN manually and verify your phone by matching the last 4 digits.
💡Save 317-644-4332 in your contacts as “AfterSchool HQ” to reduce the chance it’s filtered out as spam. If you have any questions or run into technical issues with PIN messages, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support team at support@afterschoolhq.com.
