Understanding the Unified Student Profile
Learn how the Unified Student Profile displays participant information and how the most recent registration updates determine the information shown.
Before You Begin
The Unified Student Profile combines participant information from all registrations into a single profile, making it easier for staff to quickly view important student details.
With the latest update, the profile now uses the most recently edited or submitted registration value for each field. This means the newest known information is automatically displayed throughout the Unified Student Profile.
The Unified Student Profile may display information such as:
- Identity
- Contacts
- Parent/Guardian information
- Emergency contacts
- Medical & Health Information
How the Unified Profile Determines Which Information to Display
When a participant has multiple registrations, AfterSchool HQ compares the information across those registrations.
For each field, the profile displays the most recently edited or submitted value (also known as the most recent known data point).
For example:
- If a participant's phone number is updated on a new registration, the Unified Student Profile will display the updated phone number.
- If an emergency contact is changed on a later registration, the new emergency contact will be shown instead of the previous one.
- If an older registration is edited after a newer one, the information from that edit becomes the most recent value and will be displayed in the profile.
💡 Tip: The Unified Student Profile is designed to display the most current participant information available across all registrations.
