How to Request a Refund in AfterSchool HQ

This article shows parents how to request a refund for an activity they’ve already paid for. Please note: refunds are handled by the activity provider, not AfterSchool HQ.

If you need to cancel an activity and request a refund, this guide will walk you through the process.

Please note that while AfterSchool HQ facilitates online payments, all refund decisions are managed directly by the activity provider or school district.

To request a refund, you will need to contact the provider through your AfterSchool HQ account.

1. Sign in to Your Account

Start by logging into your provider account at afterschoolhq.com.

2. Click the “Activities” tab

Once you're logged in, click “Activities” at the top of your dashboard.

3. Find the activity and open the dropdown

Locate the activity you’d like a refund for, then click the dropdown arrow in the top-right corner of the activity box.

4. Click “Request Refund”

From the dropdown menu, click Request Refund”.

💡Tip: If you don’t see this option, contact the provider directly using the “Send Message” option in the same menu.

5. Wait for the provider to approve

After the provider reviews and approves your refund request, it will typically appear in your account within 5 – 10 business days, depending on your payment method.

💡Tip: Refunds are not automatic, you must submit a request and wait for the provider’s approval.

6. Need to follow up or send a message?

Go back to the same dropdown menu and click “Send Email” if you’d like to contact the provider directly.

💡Tip: If you're unsure whether a refund is possible, it’s a good idea to message the provider first. Some may offer credits or re-scheduling options instead of refunds.
